At The Angel of Bow, we offer the best pub food in East London, making 98% of what we serve from scratch in our own kitchen.
Our seasonal menu changes every week and is filled with produce from the best local East London suppliers.
We get the freshest fish from Billingsgate Market, less than a mile away; we source the highest quality meat from our local Peckover Butchers on Roman Road; and our fruit and veg is delivered direct from Spitalfields Market.
Fresh oysters come in from Maldon every Friday – when they’re gone, they’re gone!
Alongside our daily specials our menu features favourites including prawn cocktail, homemade pâtés, fresh fish and chips, hand-minced burgers and a selection of Mediterranean dips and homemade sheftalia and kofta.
Desserts are just as important as the rest of the meal, with tarte tatin, pavlova, crumble, frangipane tart and frozen berries with homemade ice cream all making an appearance on our menu.
We are the only pub in the area offering our guests a carvery.
Our guests enjoy a warm and hearty experience at The Angel of Bow.

Drink
We are an independent, family-owned pub. Running things ourselves means we’ve been able to create links with a range of local breweries, giving us full choice of the best craft beers to rotate across our 22 taps. Expect to see firm favourites including Neckstamper, Pillars, East London Brewery, Hackney Brewery and Hammerton Brewery alongside new gems for you to discover.
We’ve cemented our status as one of the best craft beer pubs in East London by creating our own Angel of Bow session lager. Made with malt and hops, our unique recipe isn’t based on chemicals like some others and takes six-to-eight weeks to brew. Come in and try out the fruits of our labours!
If you’re more into Belgian beers or cider, we’ve got you covered too.

Spirits
Our fully stocked bar features hundreds of spirits and includes a dedicated world of whiskey cabinet alongside an extensive collection of rums. Our house pours come courtesy of the East London Liquor Company, just up the road.
